Semi-Automatic Seamer of cans and bottles.
FUNCTION OF THE MACHINE
The machine is designed for the off-line operation mode with operator’s participation or for operation as part of a semi-automated line and ensures seaming of metal, glass or plastic cans using the following four methods:
- Producing a double seam for metal cans and lids without removable polymeric sealing parts;
- Producing a double seam for plastic cans and metal lids without removable polymeric sealing parts;
- Producing a single seam for glass cans and metal lids with removable polymeric sealing parts (SKO lids);
- Producing an air-tight mating between metal or plastic threaded-type lids (TWIST-OFF) with polymeric sealer and the face of metal, glass or plastic cans.
A special feature of this machine is its ability to ensure real-time automatic control of the seaming quality, which has made it possible to completely eliminate sealing defects.
LINGER-SIBERIA has managed to design the machine in such a way as to combine the possibility of implementation of principally different methods for seaming cans with the absence of requirements imposed on discretization of the size range of cans or bottles. Such combination of possibilities of the MVG-Delta semi-automatic machine enables substantial diversifying the range of the cans used and avoiding additional changeover costs.
Intelligent automatic management of the machine operation is based on programmable controllers, quick-response sensors and pneumatic control components manufactured by German company Festo.
